Excerpts from the book

The dwarfs were a happy bunch until one day they were visited by a

stranger. The stranger was tall, very, very tall. He wore raggedy clothes

and had a very long beard. His beard was so long it touched the dwarf’s

heads. Worse yet, it tickled their heads too. The dwarfs did not like this

strange giant. Besides his size and his beard, the giant smelled funny.

The dwarfs did not like the giant’s funny smell. . . . .

The dwarfs were a good people and they would never wish harm on anybody,

much less a smelly, ragged dressing stranger who blocked out their sun and

shook their houses when he walked. . . . . . They decided it was time for a town meeting. . . . . .

The dwarfs waited . . . . and they waited. They waited for what seemed

like a very long time. Soon the moon went away and the sun started to

shine. The birds began chirping and very soon, the wind started to blow.
